Louisville wins convincingly on the road
K-State was a challenge. With a backup quarterback in, Louisville couldn't afford a letdown. They ended up trouncing K-State defensively. The Wildcats rushed for over a hundred yards, but most of that was on one 69-yard play. Louisville is one of the best teams at stopping the run, and they did that most of the day.
Meanwhile, Kentucky did what they do best: Lose on the road to Florida. If it were possible to play just a half of football, the Wildcats might have gotten a moral victory. But they were ground into paste in the second half. Was this a corner-turning game for this moribund program? Only time will tell. A bowl bid still seems possible if they can win over the unranked teams on their schedule.
